in association with:
Bible Training Center Netherlands

Reformatorische Baptistengemeente Heuvelrug

“Christians who are not instructed in the fundamentals of Christianity are not likely to mature into solid saints. I sincerely believe a poor foundation is the reason many are not steadfast today.”

William Gurnall, The Christian in Complete Armour

Conference Hosts:

D Paul Mitchell - Director, Grace to You Europe
Ryk Botes – Teacher and Team Member for Bible Training Center Netherlands
Remco de Jong - Leader from Reformatorische Baptistengemeente Heuvelrug

Dr Jonathan Moorhead

An Introduction to Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians

The first conference session will enable us to understand the context in which Paul wrote his epistle to the church in Ephesus. There will be an overview of its historical and theological themes together with key doctrines, especially the doctrine of God’s sovereignty in the salvation of sinners.

Dr Gregg Laskow & Pastor Greg Hauser

The Christian in Complete Armour – A Deep Dive into Ephesians 6:10-20 in 2 Sessions

Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might: Satan’s power over all Christians is broken and the great war is won through Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, which forever conquered the power of sin and death and hell. However, whilst we remain on earth, the fierce battle against temptation continues. The Lord’s power, the strength of his Spirit, and the force of biblical truth are all required for victory in this particular battle.
In chapter 6 of his epistle to the Ephesians the apostle Paul uses the common armour worn by Roman soldiers as the analogy for the believer’s spiritual defence and affirms its necessity if we are to courageously stand our ground as faithful soldiers of Christ whilst under sustained attack by the Enemy of our souls.

Dr Jonathan Moorhead

Ephesians 6:21-24: Tychicus – Trusted Messenger, Faithful Preacher, and Loyal Friend.

Any Christian man desiring to serve within a local church as an elder or deacon must be scripturally qualified in order to undertake this sacred ministry, otherwise his ministry will not have the imprimatur of Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
Tychicus is an example of a disciple of Christ with the non-negotiable qualifications required of all church leaders. Therefore, he presents us with an excellent character study that will help the members of local churches to prayerfully identify those men Christ has gifted to His church as elders and deacons.

The conference will conclude with a hosted discussion and Q&A featuring our guest speakers.

Before moving to the Reading Area, Pastor Gregg was a full-time History and Bible teacher at Atlantic Christian School in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, from 2010-2018. He was also promoted to Vice Principal from 2015-2018.  In 2013, while teaching full-time, he felt called to full-time vocational ministry and began his theological training through the Southern Baptists Theological Seminary. After four years, he graduated in 2017 with his Master of Divinity.

God’s call of salvation was finally recognized, and by His grace, He allowed Greg to cross over from death into life. That date altered the course of Greg’s life. After spending more than two decades in the insurance industry, Greg felt a strong call to ministry, and he moved from Iowa to California to attend seminary. It was there that he met his wife, Tanya.

He graduated from The Master’s Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity in 2014 and a Master of Theology in 2019. He lived in California for 11 years, spending almost 10 years of that time working for Grace to You. Greg also served at a church in northeastern Pennsylvania before joining CrossWay.

Greg enjoys teaching God’s Word and seeing the transformative power of the gospel in the lives of God’s people.
